Valentine’s Day. You either love it or hate it. If you’re one that loves to spoil your loved ones on this day but want to avoid the typical store-bought stuff that everyone else buys, I have some great DIY projects for you that are simple to do but have a big impact. These simple DIY Valentine’s Day gifts are a great choice!
DIY Valentine’s Day Gifts
Over at LiaGriffith.com, I found this really cute pop-up card you can make with the free printable she provides. Just pop on over to her site and download it and get to work. Your older kids could even do this one.
2. Mason Jar Heart Valentine
The36thavenue.com has this candy jar with a see-through heart. Now, this one does require vinyl, which not everyone has lying around the house. But if you are up for it, you can find the vinyl at places like Michael’s or Hobby Lobby.
3. Valentine’s Day Arrow Art
CutesyCrafts.com has tons of simple DIY projects for all occasions. This Arrow Art is one of my favorites for Valentine’s Day. You don’t have to be an artist to make this project work. Just follow her simple instructions.
4. DIY Heart-Shaped Hand Warmers
Over at TheIdeaRoom.net I found these cute and practical hand warmers in the shape of hearts. They’d make a great gift for anyone who suffers from cold hands all winter. There is a tiny bit of sewing involved, but if you have some basic hand stitching skills, you can manage.
5. Lip Balm Valentine Card
This little project requires you to buy some EOS lip balm or something of similar size/shape, but the card is something you can make at home. EverydaySavvy.com has provided a free printable for the card and if you read the post you can see there are several different design options. It’s a cute way to give a small, inexpensive gift to someone with a little handmade flair added to it.
