Affordable Living Today was founded out of both lived experience and professional insight into one of California’s most urgent challenges—housing instability.
Rising housing costs in the greater Sacramento area have created significant barriers for individuals and families seeking safe and stable living environments.
What was once attainable housing became increasingly out of reach, revealing a widening gap between economic realities and essential needs.
At the same time, patterns across healthcare and community systems have made the consequences of this gap impossible to ignore.
Individuals are often discharged from hospitals and care settings without stable housing, despite managing chronic illnesses, behavioral health conditions, and other complex needs.
Providing support and stability for low-income populations
